Spring Break 2012 {Dallas}

Brent has been in Nicaragua this week on a mission trip with our church, and my step-mom was on a cruise, so my dad and I took the boys to Dallas for a little spring break trip!

(This picture should be mixed in the middle somewhere, but I forgot to add it, so I just stuck it at the top. It was too cute not to include. Levi woke up pretty early one morning at our hotel, so he and I played cars in the vanity area of the bathroom until everyone else woke up.)

When we first arrived in Dallas, it was too early to check into our hotel, so we went straight to the Sea Life Aquarium! This sting-ray tank was definitely a favorite!

We were so glad to have my dad along for the trip!

I was so proud of baby Levi. He was buckled into this stroller nearly everywhere we went, and we hardly ever heard a complaint from him.
Me and my crew. I have so much fun with these kiddos. God truly blessed me with these three. He was just in awe at everything.

After the aquarium, Brody spotted this Euro-bungy thing and just had to try it out. He was flying high!

We ate at Rainforest cafe (which they hated...hence the lack of pictures), then onto LEGOLAND!!
Brody says this was his favorite part of the trip. It was truly a little boy's paradise. Lego's EVERYWHERE. And practically everything in there was made of legos.
They got to be assistants on the Lego factory tour!

(Sidenote - See the little crown Brody is wearing? When we first walked in, there was a worker bending over picking up Lego peices from a big container where some kids had been playing, and Brody ran over and helped him pick them up. He bragged on what a big helper Brody was and gave him the crown to wear. He told me what a well-behaved child I have. That's always so nice to hear when sometimes you wonder if you are doing anything right.)

They had a few fun little rides in there...This is just before Brody and I got on...

Even Beckett and Pawpaw went for a ride!!
Knocking over the huge tower he'd just built!
This was his favorite part of Legoland. You could build lego cars, and then race them on these huge ramps. We stayed here forever.

We stayed at the Gaylord Texana, and it was such a pretty hotel! This was the view from the balcony of our room into the hotel atrium.

This was the view at night.
We had breakfast beside at the riverwalk inside the hotel. It was so fun!

My friend Kindra met us the next morning in downtown Dallas and did a photoshoot of the boys! We got some great pictures...thank you Kindra!!!!
Then we went to the Ft. Worth zoo! We brought Brody to this zoo when he was about 18 mo old, and we loved it, so I knew I wanted to bring them all back. It's such a fun zoo!

My little thrill seeker just had to climb this rock wall...he did great!

We stayed at the zoo pretty much until it closed, then drove to the Bass Pro Shop in Garland where we at dinner at their seafood restaurant out on the lake. After we ate, Pawpaw let the boys shop some. It was so late when we left there, we we ended up getting a room there in Garland and drove home the next morning. We had such a fun trip!!
