I was at the hospital loving on my sweet new nephew when my cell phone rang. Beckett handed it to me, and THIS was what saw. A call from Tulsa, OK! I started shaking immediately...knowing what this call could mean.
I stepped out into the hallway to answer, and was so relieved to hear my sweet case worker's happy voice on the other end. When she asked what I was doing, and I told her I was visiting my new nephew in the hospital, she said, "Well, I've got some more excitement to add to your day! Your EP has been issued!" I was jumping up and down in the hallway, and I'm sure all of the nurses thought I was nuts. ;)
She went to explain that we can expect our file to be submitted to the courts within a few weeks, and that it varies dramatically after that as to when to expect a court date. We could be notified of a court date just a couple weeks after being submitted, or it could be three or four months. It just completely depends on which judge we are assigned to. Some schedule dates quickly...some not so much. She said a good guess would be a court date in August or September.
We are so thankful to The Lord for this blessing of another step closer to our son! He is continuing to use this to strengthen our faith and learn to rely only on Him. Each hurdle we cross...each mountain we conquer...it's only because of His goodness allowing us to do so. He is doing a mighty work in this journey...on days like today when we are full of joy...and even on days when we feel hopeless.
This week marks exactly two years since we started this process. The waiting is hard, but days like today sure help! And I know even better days are coming!
