Already?!

I cannot believe that Beckett will be a month old next week! Wow - where does the time go? It has been a very eventful month, with the birth, adjusting to two kids, the 4 days in the hospital last week, etc etc....but we would do it all over again for this little guy.

He finally lost his umbilical stump last week, so we are finally able to give him real baths. The first time, he wasn't crazy about it at all. But it is getting better. He doesn't smile through it by any means, but he tolerates it. You can tell by the look on his face that he would much rather be somewhere else. But I just love bath time with him. I love the way they smell afterward...mmmm.

Brody is still doing just awesome. He loves his little brother so much. He wants to kiss all over him all the time. He still goes to preschool the 3 days that I would normally be working so that his little routine doesn't get out of whack. And he needs that social interaction too, b/c I have been keeping the baby in most of the time. There is so much going around, I just can't take my newborn out around it all yet. Anyway, when Brody gets home from school I know that he is going to want to love all over Beckett, so I strip him down, wash him off, and change his clothes. Then he has to love on him for a little bit. It is so sweet to watch them.

Brody and Brent have gotten so close this last month or so, too. I feel like all I pretty much do is feed the baby, so Brent has really taken up the slack where I may be lacking some. One of his favorite things is cooking breakfast with Daddy in the mornings. This was one morning last weekend.

Mom and I are taking the kids to the ElDorado homecoming parade tomorrow, so hopefully I will have some better pictures to share after that. For now, this big eyed little boy will have to do :-)

I know this isn't a very good picture, but it shows you how much Brody loves him. I will try to get some better pics of them soon.
