Branson

Brent and I went to Branson with Ryan and Tara last weekend for a little get-away before the new baby (who finally has a name! more on that later) comes. We left Brody with grandparents, which was definately way harder on me than it was on Brody. I hear that it gets easier leaving them once #2 comes along...is that true? Besides the fact that I missed Brody terribly, we had a great weekend.

Did lots of good eating:

Played put-put:

And this was way fun...lol. We went to a segway track. It was like a go-kart track, but you rode on those little segway car things. You know, like the dude on mall cop?? It was hilarious!

They went pretty fast too, although you can't tell by looking at the pictures...

And most importantly, we did ALOT of shopping! I got both boys tons of cute clothes...it was so fun to be able to shop for newborn stuff again :)

Thanks, Ryan and Tara, for a great weekend!

Now, for a baby update. Everything seems to still be going well. I will be 31 weeks tomorrow, and this picture is from...I think about 28 weeks...so I will try to get an updated one soon. I am still feeling well, getting a little uncomfortable, but nothing too bad yet. I have been ever so thankful for the cooler weather lately. Mid 80's isn't too bad for July.

So, for the name. Brody's little brother will be Beckett Cash. We both love it, but we are having a hard time convincing Brody. He still calls him Baby Jett...lol. Beckett should weigh around 3 1/2 lbs now, and should be about 15 inches long. We can't wait to meet him! I have a couple showers coming up next month, which I am so excited about. Now I just need to get the nursery finished...or at least started! Ha! Only 7-9 more weeks!!!

Trip to the lake

We just got home from a wonderful trip to Lake Claiborne! Mom rented us a cabin at the state park, and we spent a few wondeful relaxing days on the water.
Brody and Aunt Tara in the boat
One very exciting thing did happen while we were there! Brooke lost her very first tooth!! The tooth had been loose for a while, and we had actually talked about trying to pull it while we were there, but there was no need! The first night she was pulling on her nightgown and it caught on the tooth and popped it right out! It was hilarious. The tooth went flying across the room, and I think it scared her at first. The look on her face was priceless. But needless to say, we found the tooth and the toothfairy came to visit her at the cabin that night!!! (If you look closely in the picture, the tooth is in her hand...)

We spent most of the morning Thursday on the water in Ryan's boat. Brooke and Tara and Mom played on the tube, and we all played in the water alot to keep cool.

Back at the cabin that night, Brooke, Brent, Tara, and I got a good game of Jenga going while mom grilled hamburgers. I hadn't played Jenga in forever...and I think we did pretty good!

On Friday night, Brooke wanted us to have a Hawaiian party, which pretty much just consisted of us eating on Hawaiian plates/napkins, and Brooke dressing up in her little Hawaiian outfit. She was so cute.

It was a fun couple of days. Thanks for wonderful week mom!!!!
