Three Amigos

We made it back safely from Heber Springs, and we had a great trip. Brody and I met Alicia & Will and Cassie & Shelby for a little R&R over the weekend. I don't know who we were kidding, you don't do much resting or relaxing with three kids 2 and under in the house. But we had fun chasing them around!

Now that Brody can run around, he really had fun with Will and Shelby, and could definately interact with them better. It is so much fun to see how much the kids change everytime we meet up, b/c we really only see each other three or four times a year. Anyway, here are a few pics from the weekend!

Brody and I met Alicia and Will at their house Thursday afternoon, and they rode on to Heber with us. We arrived a little before Alicia got homr from work, so Brody took advantage of a good time to play with somone else's toys! Here he is swinging on Will's swingset:

When we all got to Heber, we made a quick stop at WalMart for some groceries. I was getting a few strange looks as I was pushing this cart around. I am sure they were thinking, "Doesn't she know what causes that??"

They boys playing in the tub before bed:

The 3 Amigos ready for a day of shopping!!
Playing in the dressing room at Target. Again, we got a few more looks when we all came pouring out of there....

Now this, my friends, is a miracle. Getting three babies to sleep at the same time is no easy task. I know we were in a car, but still, this was the one and only time it happened all weekend long.

Playing in WalMart:
Having fun at the play center in Chick-Fil-A:

Brody would climb up to about the curve in the slide, then slide back down. He loved it!

Supposed to be packing.....

Brody and I are heading to Heber Springs this afternoon to spend the weekend with some friends, and I have a million things to wash and pack, so I am just going to post some pics and explain them as we go....

Mom and I went to Hot Springs last Friday to get her new cabinet doors, so as usual, we made a little trip out of it. On the drive up, we got tickled when we looked back and saw this. They were both taking their milk-milk abd rubbing their ear. Now I know where Brody picked up that habit!

Eating at a little Italian restaurant called Angel's in downntown HotSprings. It was yummy!
We also rode the "Duck" while we were there. Brooke had never been on it, so we knew she would enjoy it.

Noni, Brooke, and Brody:

Their favorite part was when the Duck went out into Lake Hamilton, of course. Sorry, didn't get any good pics of this part...

Sunday night, Brent and I left Brody with my mom, and we went to a Carrie Underwood concert with Ryan and Tara in Little Rock. She put on a great concert, and we had a wonderful time.

Josh Turner opened up the show, and he was really good as well. I just love to hear him sing....
(And as you can see, we had AWESOME seats!!!)

And here are a few pics I got of Carrie:

We ate dinner at Dad and Karen's last night. Brody was a little ham as usual. So, I couldnt resist pulling out the ole' camera.

Playing with Daddy's tie again:

And this is his new favorit thing to do - Play Wii!! He has watched us play a time too many, I guess, because he has the perfect swing down and everything. You can see him swinging his "golf club" in a few of these:
He even watches the TV while he does it. He is just too smart!! (And I am not biased or anything...)

Splish Splash!!

We have such a fun time during Brody's bath at night, I thought I would share a few pics from his latest swim. Our only issue with bathtime lately has been washing his hair. He loves to have his head scrubbed, but he hates the rinsing. I think the problem was that instead of just doing it fast, I worried too much about not getting the soapy water in his eyes. First, I would try to lay him back and hold his head in my hand while I carefully scooped the water onto his head. But the little monkey fought me the whole time. Then I tried to let him sit up and just tilt his head back, so that I could use this little rinser thing I bought at Walmart to keep the water out of his eyes. Well, everytime he saw me with the rinser cup, he would scoot to the far back side of the tub where I had a hard time reaching him. Soooo, we have just resorted to dumping. I just fill the cup with water and dump. It only stuns him for a second, then he blinks really big with his mouth open, then he laughs. Don't know why I didnt try that from the beginning.

Here he is before the dump:

And after the dump:

He was in his room playing after his bath. He loves to open his drawers and pull everything out. Today, I was trying to clean his room, and we got nothing accomplished. I was putting all his clothes back in his drawers and he was pulling every toy out of the toy basket. Then, I went and picked up all 10,000 toys and and put them away. And when I turned around he ahd emptied out 2 drawers. So, I just gave up, and decided we would try again tomorrow.

I wanna be like Dad!!

I guess Brody has watched his daddy get ready for work too many times, because every time he sees a necktie lying around he grabs it and throws it around his neck. We have walked in on him playing several times with a tie around his neck. I was in the kitchen this weekend, and he was being quiet, so I went in the living room to check on him. This is what I found:

Brody imitating Brent at the office- wearing a necktie and working on the computer (sorry, can't think of a way to relate the blocks in his mouth....) :

Brody imitating Brent when he gets home from work - Tie still on, TV remote in hand:

He loves to ride on his Daddy's shoulders

Brody "fishing" with Hyleigh and Uncle Terry. He was trying soooo hard........

Hmmm....This way is alot simpler. Just grab them with your hands!!
He really caught one this time!! He was so proud of himself.

My good friend from dental hygiene school, Lindsey Williams, and her family just moved to Dallas, TX a few months ago. They have a little boy, Seth, who is about 3 months younger than Brody (although you can't tell he is younger in the pictures. I have a little shorty.) We hadn't seen them in months, but they were in for a visit this weekend! The boys enjoyed playing together, but surprisingly, Brody was a little stingy with his toys! I was shocked that he was - he has never been that way before. Guess he is just getting older and more posessive of his things. Here are a few pics of them playing:

I went to Dad and Karen's to pick up Brody this afternoon, but Paw was working in the yard with the tractor, so Brody just had to take a spin before he would leave with me. I don't know who enjoyed it more - Paw or Brody!

After church Sunday, we (me, Brent, Brody, Ryan, Tara, Dad, Karen, Uncle Terry, Kennedy, and Hyleigh) all went fishing at the pond across the road from Dad's. We had alot of fun, especially when Brent realed in this 6 1/2 lb. bass! I tried to get him to mount her, but we decided that we don't even really have a room to hang stuffed creatures, so we just ate her later that night!

Even though it was as big as Brody, he still wanted to touch it. Here he is helping Daddy hold up the "Big Bass", as Brody calls it.
