Beckett Webb {2 Years Old}

My Beckett-man is 2 years old now! And what a precious 2 year old he is. Oh, how I love that little boy. What's he been up to lately?

His vocabulary is really starting to take off. He has gone from saying one or two word sentences to four and five word sentences in a matter of weeks. Common phrases we hear from Beckett are "Brody did dat, Mommy", "All done, Mommy. Down peez", "Ready go, shoes on!", "No way!", "Seep (sleep) in Brody bed, Mommy", and much much more.

I am not sure about weight and height...will find out at his check-up in a few weeks (I'm taking him when I take Levi for his 4 month). He is wearing mostly 2T stuff and is in a 7 shoe.

He can do all of the animal sounds.

He can identify most of his body parts.

He LOVES to sing, and is learning to sing the ABC song. He also loves to sing Jesus Loves Me, You Are My Sunshine, Wheels on the Bus, and lots more.

Beckett goes to sleep all by himself for naps and bedtime. He is still in his crib, and he shares a room with Brody. This is working out wonderfully! He is still our early riser (around 6am), but this doesn't seem to bother Brody in the least.

He has THE BEST manners I have ever seen on such a young child. He rarely forgets his thank you, please, yes ma'am, and no ma'am.

He loves Brody so much. They play together well most of the time, but definately love to fight and argue too, as I am sure most siblings do. Beckett is finally getting big enough to where I have quit intervening and just let them work it out on their own as much as I can.

He does so well with Levi, too. He honestly doesn't pay a whole lot of attention to him, other than a quick kiss on the forehead or a hug as he runs by.

He loves to play any kind of ball, build with blocks, play his guitar, play with hot wheels, play doctor, trains, airplanes, or anything Brody is doing.

He isn't really a show out like Brody has always been. He does all kinds of silly things at home, but when we try to get him to show someone else, he usually won't do it. He doesn't like all the attention on him. He is a lot like his daddy. Pretty quiet and serious and laid back.

He takes a 2-3 hour nap every afternoon right after lunch. And he goes down with no problem. He sleeps with a blankie (he isn't picky about which one), his Yo Gabba Gabba Brobee pillow, and his paci. And usually wants a little milk to drink before he goes to sleep. And he is a SUPER snuggler when he wakes up.

He has beautiful blonde hair that I absolutely love. And he doesn't mind having it washed or brushed. As I said, he is pretty laid back about everything. Except brushing his teeth. He doesn't like doing that. Or going to the doctor. Doctors freak him out for some reason.

Beckett, Happy 2nd birthday! We love you so very much and are so blessed that you are ours to love. We love your innocence, your wonder, your excitement, your amazing smile, your silly sense of humor, the way you love your brothers, your eagerness to help at such a young age, your sencerity, and everything in-between!! You are perfectly you, and you are an amazing little boy. I love you, buddy, THIS MUCH!!!

Our Weekend

On Friday afternoon, the kids and I drove to Alma to spend the weekend with Cassie and Alicia (friends from dental hygiene school) and their children. What normally would have been a 4 1/2 hour drive turned into 6 hour drive with all the bathroom breaks and nursing stops. But we made it! Without any major breakdowns! I am so thankful for awesome boys.

Will (Alicia's son) and Brody
Shelby (Cassie's daughter) and my silly Beckett-man

Having a picnic!!

This is Shelby and Alicia's daughter, Karly...such a tiny little cutie!

And Cassie's son, Kasen! Love this little blondie!

On Saturday, we had our own little Razorback party. We had lots of yummy snacks! Too bad the game was so pitiful.

My little thumb-sucker slept through the party ...

But he sure was a happy camper when he woke up!!! The kids were watching a movie before bed. They were so cute all lined up on the couch!

It was so nice to get to spend some time with these girls. Although most of our time was spent chasing kids and picking up toys, we did get to do a little catching up, too. Funny that I didn't get a single picture of us moms. Oh well. Such is life with kids.

Levi {Three Months}

Levi - you are three months old!!! What have you been up to??

I am not sure on your exact weight, but I am guessing around 14 lbs. You are wearing some 0-3 month clothes, and starting to fit into some 3-6 month. I can't believe I am already putting away so many tiny little outfits that you have already outgrown. Slow down sweet boy!

You just moved up to a size 2 diaper.

You are still breastfeeding and that's going pretty well. You have become such a nosy little thing, and want to watch everything your brothers are doing, so you get distracted easily while you are trying to eat. That's been our biggest problem lately. You take a bottle of pumped milk occasionally when we are out and about, and you take them just fine. You also had your very first taste of formula this week. I am afraid that I am not going to have enough millk pumped for when we leave you for a few days next month, and I feel like they are going to have to supplement some. So, I am going to give you a tiny bit here and there just to make sure you take it ok. Definately not something I want to make a habit of, but it will be nice to know you can tolerate it ok if you need to.

Your spit up problem has improved dramatically!! It's only maybe once a week now...and that makes me a very happy mama.

You still love to have your diaper changed and your clothes changed. I continue to thank God every day for the happy easygoing baby that you are. You made adjusting to three kids a breeze!

You will take your paci sometimes, but you have recently discovered that you LOVE your fingers. We frequently find you sleeping with with either your thumb or you fingers in your mouth. I think it is so cute.Sleep. Let's see. Your sleep pattern has been a little off lately. Some nights you sleep from 10-6. Some nights (like last night) you wake up to nurse at 1 and 4 and 6. Some nights you still put yourself to sleep. Some nights (like last night) you want to be laying in the bed beside me before you will go to sleep. You will figure it all out, though. No worries.

You still sleep in your little cradle beside our bed. For naps, I have been letting you sleep in your crib so that you get used to it. You do fine in either place.

I have been letting you play under your activity mats more, and you have been grabbing at your toys for about a week now. It's amazing to watch you grow and change and learn new things.

You smile ALL THE TIME, and you started laughing out loud last week too!! It is the most precious sound to me!

We did start using the Selsun Blue shampoo for your cradle cap, and it helped tremendously. You really enjoy getting your hair washed, thank goodness.

You did great on your first long car trip. I took you and your brothers to spend the weekend with friends in north Arkansas. We stopped to nurse twice, but you slept most of the way!

You rolled from your belly to your back for the first time a few days ago! I'm pretty sure it was just an accident, because it hasn't happened again, but it was still fun to see you do it! I made such a big deal about it, that Beckett started saying, "Watch Betett!!" And he would roll on the floor wanting me to clap for him. So precious.

Happy 3 months sweet boy! We love you bunches!

Bend It Like Brody

This was Brody's first real soccer practice! He is on the team with his best friend from school, Eli, so he was thrilled!!

Beckett loved watching his big brother practice!

He is so cute to me, all dressed up in his soccer gear. I love it that he old enough to play these little sports now. And I'm trying to enjoy it just being him that is so involved right now. I can't even imagine how crazy our lives will be when they are all three playing. Wow.

He is supposed to have his first game tonight, but he has been fighting this horrible cough for a couple days now, so we will see if I even let him play. I hope he doesn't have to miss it!

~Thing 1 and Thing 2~

With Beckett and Brooke having birthdays only a few days apart, we decided to have their parties together this year! We did a Dr. Seuss "Thing 1 and Thing 1" theme, and it turned out cute.

I made tissue paper balls and framed Dr Seuss quotes for the table decorations.

And Mom made this super cute cake!

I made these yummy cupcakes. This was the first time I made my own buttercream icing, and it was delicious! And so easy! I will definately be doing this in the future!

Playing outside. We had the the party at Knowles.

Cake time! He is so serious...it makes me laugh. You could tell he wasn't crazy about all the attention being on them when we were singing to them. So much like his Daddy!

Brooke opening presents!! I didn't get many pics of her opening, because Beckett was wanting to eat his cupcake at that same time, so I ended up stayin over by him most of that time.

And gift time for Beck!

It was such a fun party!!!
