Water Boy

Levi got in the pool for the first time yesterday! I wasn't sure how he would do...in fact, I was pretty sure he wasn't going to like it. He is just starting to like his baths a little more, and I knew the water would be quite a bit cooler.

So, I eased him in...

And he LOVED it!!!

"Swimming" with Tara and Eden!

He just had this pleased little look on his face the whole time. I am so glad he liked it! I look frward to many summers at the pool with my boys!

This little Brody-fish loves to swim under water!

Love this sweet boy! Isn't he just so cute? I can't believe he will be 2 in September!

He wants so badly to jump off of the diving board. But he just can't quite muster up the courage. He walks all the way to the end, then looks down, and realizes how far above the water he is. So, he usually climbs down, and just jumps off of the side instead. I bet it won't be long!

When Levi got tired of the water, I wrapped him up in this towel, and he was so warm and content. He fell asleep about 30 seconds after this picture was taken. Such a sweet baby boy.

Brody is learning to dive! This isn't the best picture in the world. In fact, he can dive a lot better than this. This is just the only picture I took tonight. So proud of him!

Arboretum Adventure!

Yesterday evening, Tara and I took the kids the Arboretum for a little outdoor time. I hadn't been there in a long time, and I had been trying to think of somewhere good where the kids could run around and play, where I could push the stroller around, and where we could picnic if we wanted. So, we decided to head over and see if the kids enjoyed it.

It was really hot and sticky, but we had fun anyway. First, we just walked along the trails - I pushed Beckett and Levi in the stroller (and boy did those hills get tough!) and Brody ran ahead of us.

After we walked through the trails for a while, we parked the strollers under this pavillion and just let the big kids play.

We even set the timer and took a few group pics :)

As we were leaving, they found this little mudhole right outside the gate, and they played there for another 10 mnutes! Boys will be boys!

Levi {One Month}

Levi, you are ONE MONTH OLD!!!
So, what are you up to these days?

You weigh a little over 10 lbs! (I don't know exact weight...I'm taking you in for a weight check on Monday.)

You can still wear your Newborn clothes, but are starting to fit into 0-3 month. Yay!!

You are still nursing great, but have starting spitting up a lot. And I don't mean a little spit up...it usually requires us to both bathe afterward :)

However, you have started liking your baths so much more (it's a good thing!).

You don't mind riding your carseat, as long as the car is moving. But, if we stop for too long you will pipe up.

You still like the Soothie paci, but won't take any of the other kind we have bought you.

You are still a GREAT sleeper! You only wake up once during the night, eat and go right back to sleep. Mommy LOVES this! And you still nap great during the day too. You are definately my best sleeper.

We are starting to get little tiny smiles out of you, and I love it!

You are such a happy easygoing baby. I am so thankful! You are so content to just sit in your bouncy seat or your swing and just watch everything that is going on. You love for your brothers to hold you, and they love you so much, too. Brody is such a big help with you, and we have been pleasantly surprised at how well Beckett has adjusted to having a little brother! He loves to kiss on you and play with your little feet. I love seeing the three of you together. I still can't believe I have three little boys!!

You still sleep in your rock and play sleeper beside our bed, and you sleep great in it. We were swaddling you, but lately you seem to have your arms free, so I have still been using your swaddle blanket...I just leave your arms out, and you have done great.

Daddy and I left you for the first time last weekend. You stayed home with Memaw and Poppy and your brothers while we went to a movie. We were only gone about an hour and a half, and they said you did wonderful.

You are starting to become a lot more alert, and I can't wait to watch as your little personlity starts showing!

You are just the sweetest little angel, and you are more than we could have ever imagined. This month with you has been just wonderful, and we are so thankful that God sent you to us to love. I can't wait to see what the next month will bring!! Love you, Levi!!!!

Sunday School Shower

Just a few pictures from a shower that some sweet friends from Sunday school gave me last weekend for Levi. So sweet of them!

1st Sunday at Church

This weekend was Levi's 1st Sunday to go to church! He did great. He sat through Sunday School with us, and then Brent and I had to work in the nursery during the service, so he just stayed in the nursery with us. He stayed awake during Sunday school and took a couple ounces of his bottle, then fell asleep and slept while we were in the nursery.
