The joy of EP approval!!!

We are so stinkin' happy to share with everyone that we have EP approval!!! We are so excited!!! When we were submitted for EP back in February, we were told this could take 60-90 days. Today was day 98. To say we were getting antsy is an understatement.
I was at the hospital loving on my sweet new nephew when my cell phone rang. Beckett handed it to me, and THIS was what saw. A call from Tulsa, OK! I started shaking immediately...knowing what this call could mean.

I stepped out into the hallway to answer, and was so relieved to hear my sweet case worker's happy voice on the other end. When she asked what I was doing, and I told her I was visiting my new nephew in the hospital, she said, "Well, I've got some more excitement to add to your day! Your EP has been issued!" I was jumping up and down in the hallway, and I'm sure all of the nurses thought I was nuts. ;)

She went to explain that we can expect our file to be submitted to the courts within a few weeks, and that it varies dramatically after that as to when to expect a court date. We could be notified of a court date just a couple weeks after being submitted, or it could be three or four months. It just completely depends on which judge we are assigned to. Some schedule dates quickly...some not so much. She said a good guess would be a court date in August or September.

We are so thankful to The Lord for this blessing of another step closer to our son! He is continuing to use this to strengthen our faith and learn to rely only on Him. Each hurdle we cross...each mountain we conquer...it's only because of His goodness allowing us to do so. He is doing a mighty work in this journey...on days like today when we are full of joy...and even on days when we feel hopeless.

This week marks exactly two years since we started this process. The waiting is hard, but days like today sure help! And I know even better days are coming!

*Summer*

It's officially SUMMER in our neck of the woods - and we have spent the last four days living it up at the POOL!
I can already tell this is going to such a great summer. All three boys are loving the water this year!
Even Levi is climbing right in and playing without any prompting from me :)
This may be the first summer in a long time that I get to supervise from the side while relaxing in my lounge chair :)

Showing off their cute new suits for Mama!

I'm looking so forward to the many hours we spend playing here this Summer!!

Celebrating Good Times!

May has been so busy, but so much fun! This month brings us many reasons to celebrate!

Levi and I drove to Little Rock last Saturday to meet up with some friends and attend a shower for Grant and Kimmie, who will be bringing home sweet Lyle from Korea very soon! She is only a few months ahead of us in this journey, so it's so amazing to watch her travel to Seoul and meet her son, and know that we will be there (prayerfully) very soon!
I cannot say enough how The Lord has blessed me through new friendships with these girls. The way He crossed our paths and brought us together over these last couple years has been just amazing, and we are so thankful!
While we were in LR, I took Levi for his first purple vanilla milkshake at The Purple Cow!
We are also getting ready to celebrate little Lennox turning two next month. It was with a sad heart that I packed his goodies in a box and mailed them to him.
We are grateful that he seems to be doing well, and I have no doubt that he is being loved and cared for, but it's just hard to accept that he won't be here to blow out another birthday candle.
Levi and I enjoyed our last few days alone together ths week. School is now out, and those big brothers will be home all day!

Brooke's 4th grade graduation was this week - can't believe she'll be heading to middle school next year!
And Beckett sang for us at his end of the year program at his school!

Brody finished out 1st grade with a bang!
He was in the top 10 for first grade Accelerated Reader.
The top 10 for first grade math...
Received an award for honor roll, citizenship, and a teamwork award!
So proud of all of our little graduates!

Field Day fun!!

Levi and I joined Brody today for Hugh Goodwin Field Day! One of Brody's favorite days of school! ;)

Levi had these two sweet girls taking care of him all day. He had plenty of attention!

Little brother got his face painted, too :)

And Brody's favorite event of Field Day - Tug O' War!!!

Somebody was pouting - he'd had enough.

Even their awesome teacher joined them on the fun!
